Feliz Navidad!

Thank you so much for bringing me joy by reading and commenting!
Merrrry Christmasss!

LOVE. THESE. SHORTS. the color, the pattern...

Looking through SS '10 shows I found myself infatuated with Dries Van Noten.
I love how exotic the colors and prints(polka dots- ahhhh) are, but the tailoring and draping (the effortless loosenes? THE SIXTH LOOK'S BLOUSE.) and styling (example: how the navy tunic in the fifth look fits perfectly with the dissipated navy in the print of the pant) look so pulled-together and perfect.

My eyes just cry of amazement when I look!

Also, I love the novel necklaces! I like the jumble of pearls look, but the little geometric shape just adds so much character and interest. The appeal!

The sun-shielders also have a beautiful shape which I love.

I believe this is the direction in which I would like my style to go. At least, my accessories to go. It's just so beautiful.

Pictures and Poems

I think this has to do with either "having a good eye" or "being positive".

Just some bambina-esque photos I found at weheartit.com. I love all the pictures there! Such an ispiring idea.

Tomorrow I am leaving on a great ship! I will cruise through the ocean and hopefully come out with some great pictures. I bought a new bathing suit, which has filled me with excitement.

A poem I like from Merrymeeting Marsh: Poems for Children & Youthful Adults (I found it at a used book sale, the punctuation is verry off, but it has such cool doodles from the previous owner!):

"The Fashion Followers"

"You can fly anywhere you want to,"
as Peter Pan said to Wendy,
"if there's nothing you have to hold on to.
Be trendy.

Avoiding dogmatic fetters
you can follow the fashion setters;
wherever they take you
will certainly make you
look better by far than your betters....

If people with lots of money
are dressing in sacks of gunny
you should dress that way too-
good for them, good for you-
no matter if it looks funny.

And finally,

Shades of Grey

I love the gorgeous drapes and shapes in this editorial. The colors are also very wonderful. Instead of being goddessy and rich like the shapes, the tones are very cool and fantastic. (The grey hair is quite striking, no?)

I'm asking for Lola for Christmas- it's such an interesting and sensual smell. Plus, Karlie is THE BEST.

On the Edge

Here are a few of my favorite autumn-winter Stella McCartney picks. I've been through a very edgy phase this week.

Found these photos on fashioncopious.typepad.com-

I really like how they're very striking, yet feminine. It's a delicate balance to achieve.

A new organic restaurant just opened in my town, which I am really excited about. It's so good to have good food be so accessible! I will try my luck at food photography and post it on here.

Anyone have a really awesome restaurant that you like?

Repeat After Me

Lately I've been to Lowe's and the grocery store quite often: how exciting. But I like the look of repetition in "mass retail".

This week has been intense, with so many tests and things due. I can't wait for the weekend to relax and have some fun!
